So its been one and a half weeks into my formal employment as an Insurance Executive at XinJiaBo Airlines (pardon the translation, i dont wanna be traced. Google is powerful these days). This certainly marks the start of a (hopefully) rewarding career. I cant ask for more, for this appointment has provided me the ideal platform to realise my dreams.
I have always wanted to work in an office, dealing with issues that will have a substantial impact on the company.
I've always wanted my presence and input in a workplace to be of relevance and importance.
I've always wanted my talents to be harnessed and even exploited for the right cause.
I've always wanted to be part of a dynamic environment, working together with fellow colleagues to churn profits.
I've always wanted to eventually be a manager, providing directions and guidance to a group of fellow co-workers.
I've always wanted to be part of an established and huge firm, thereby providing some sort of assurance for a sustained career track. (at the very least, it makes ur CV look good)
First day at work, and I was introduced to my colleagues, who turn out to be a great bunch of people whom I subsequently had lunch with everyday. I was brought to my desk, which is huge and lodged in the middle of an even bigger cubicle...makes me feel damn important la. I was introduced to my assistants, who are like the nicest and most experienced staff around. I was introduced to the huge staff canteen where I can get really good food that's even cheaper than prices at arts canteen in nus.
So seriously, what more can I ask for?
Well of course, not everything is as rosy as it sounds. But for now, I shall just appreciate all good things that come.
On a side note, I must thank the gf for her support throughout this period. The past month was just wonderful. Words cant describe.
Once again I cant ask for more.
thank u!
